The Bangalow Sports Field Open Air Sculpture Gallery is offering sculptors a chance to exhibit large works that otherwise might be stuck in some paddock or shed. At the same time it offers visitors a year around chance to view works that might otherwise only be visible during shows in far away places.

Some of the artists and their subjects

The sculpture in the paddock team met at the newly renovated Show office which like so many things in country life was a collective effort by show members.

The meeting was a great way of catching up and sharing ideas. The show will have a great diversity of works.

A meeting of community

Hopi Steiner and Samantha Collyer attended their first sculpture in the paddock meeting and met their subjects.

The BBQ was a great success and everyone requested a earlier time so that more time was spend on chatting.

Samantha Collyer and Bob Guest

Sam lives and works in Brunswick. She is a ceramicist and has done a lot of cummuninty based works. She will introduce some of her photographic students to record the sculpture in the paddock project. Bob is a blow in having arrived in the area only 36 years ago. He is a expert horseman.
